Common Rule of Feng Shui
To engage in the practice of Feng Shui is a personal decision that can bring tremendous blessings into a home. A common rule in Feng Shui is to select furniture with rounded edges in order to balance the effect of the sharp corners of other objects within the same space. Often, the items that you are attempting to counter balance are televisions, and other electronic devices that have become such staples in our home environments. All in all it is an easy concept to grasp, and the result is a well balanced room.
However, after embracing this approach, one may soon find that the remaining large items, that could be chosen in a curved design, are not best suited for the dimensions involved. As such, a true balancing act begins, and frequent visits to numerous furniture stores may occur. Still, the point is to stick with the basic premise when possible, because in the end, all the added effort will pay off in ways you may not imagine, and may not even ever recognize completely.
