Thank Goodness for New Homes in London

Posted by admin

Just a few minutes ago I signed on for another exciting interior decorating project in London and am elated at the possibilities. For new homes in London vary greatly, as you probably well know, and I have yet to cross the threshold of this one. Thus, my imagination is taking over, and running in many different directions. To say I know very little about the space would be an understatement, but that makes it quite thrilling at the same time as daunting.

I was put into contact with this client by a friend and jumped at the chance. Now I am not going to do any name-dropping, but the client is a famous author, and one whose books I am actually familiar with believe it or not. As for any additional hints, oh maybe just one or two more. She writes murder mysteries so involved, and complex with twists and turns that would give good old Agatha Christie’s character Inspector Poirot a run for his money. Not only does this please me to no end, but also her works have garnered much literary praise and attention.

The last hint is that she is in the middle of drafting out a deal to make at least one of her novels into a film. So you will forgive me if I am both ecstatic over the creative possibilities that may exist when it comes to decorating the house, and am a tad star struck with the thought of a celebrity client that I finally know of their work. For, I have designed for other well known individuals, but were either completely oblivious to what they had composed, negotiated or led.

The most exhilarating part is that she has said that she wants to be very involved with the selection of colour scheme, furniture style and layout. With a mind like hers, one that can craft stories that leave the reader questioning who dunnit, and how they did it till the very end, I am certain her ideas and input will be outstanding and inspiring. And to be entirely frank, I am going to need a double espresso to help me come out of my shell the first time we meet up.

Though I have the whole new home London thing down pat, I feel like a child gearing up for the first day of school. I can just feel it in my bones that this is going to be a real treat of a project, and must remember to thank my friend profusely for mentioning my name.
